AMEP dog off lead review - infographic
Following community consultation, in October 2020 Council endorsed the Animal Management and Exercise Plan 2020-2025 (AMEP) and the roll out of a trial off-lead traffic light indicator, to determine a park’s dog off or on lead status. As part of the plan, we identified several parks to trial switching to a ‘green’ off-lead status. These parks were divided under a three-phase trial. Phase one (Oct 2022 – present) The City trialled the following parks as temporary off-lead areas: • Allendale Park • Aubin Grove Reserve • Beeliar Reserve • Colorado Park • Goodchild Park • Santich Park Phase two (July 2022 - present) Considering feedback from phase one, the City trailed three additional as temporary off-lead areas: • Enright Reserve • Len Packham Park** • Success Reserve Council request review (May 2023) Considering phase one and two feedback, Council requested community review on the roll-out on shared use spaces. Community feedback will help inform the planning of phase three.
