About this application
The application has the following characteristics:
The subject tenancy within the Calleya Town Centre site was initially approved for use as a ‘Shop’, and is now proposed for use as a ‘Liquor Store – Small’, which is deemed to be a ‘Use Not Listed’ in accordance with the City’s Town Planning Scheme No. 3;
Being a ‘Use Not Listed’, advertising is required in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015;
The subject tenancy is 140m² and is adjacent to the approved supermarket, with pedestrian-only access available through external doors from the car parking area;
The overall footprint of the building and car parking areas will be unchanged, except for an awning addition at the front of the tenancy for pedestrian weather protection; and
Proposed hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 9am – 9pm and Sunday 10am – 7pm, consistent with the approved supermarket.
This application relates only to the change of use of one tenancy within an existing approved development.
