The City of Cockburn is undertaking engagement with residents, user groups and visitors to Port Coogee to better understand the challenges and opportunities for vehicle parking management. The City would like to hear from you about how you use parking in the area, what challenges you face and how you think parking could be improved.
The stakeholder feedback will assist the City in gaining a deeper understanding, thereby shaping the future approach to vehicle parking at Port Coogee.

Background

The Port Coogee area offers a mix of modern housing, recreational amenities, water-based activities, a marina, parks, cafes, and shops which together creates a unique destination to live and visit. This underscores the vital role of vehicle parking management in supporting the vibrant hub of activity both now and into the future.

The City has also received feedback from Port Coogee residents and visitors in the past, indicating that the current parking management at times is not satisfactory and limits the usability of the area. The City intends to undertake a parking project for efficient management of vehicle parking.

Next Steps

No parking management strategy has yet been adopted. The City is undertaking engagement. After we better understand the challenges being faced, we will present opportunities back to the community for further comment.
