Project Update: April 2020
In early 2020 we sought feedback from key stakeholders and the community on how they use and what they most value about Coogee Beach foreshore, as well as their priorities on various adaptation scenarios. We heard from over 220 residents, visitors, businesses, community groups and organisations.
Whilst there were some conflicting points of view, many agreed that when adapting to coastal changes, it is important to maintain a sandy beach, a vegetated dune buffer and the current balance between natural and built environments (now as well as in the future if shoreline changes occur). Click here to view a feedback summary. Using this feedback, a draft Foreshore Management Plan is being developed and will be presented for community feedback in the coming months.
