In light of community support, the City of Cockburn has provided in principle support for the proposal and final design. The next step will be to establish a license agreement. This agreement must be in place prior to works commencing on the garden. Once an agreement is in place, the garden project will be delivered and maintained by the Coogee Community Garden Group WA.
The garden is a community managed project. In order to grow vegetables and collect produce, the community residents would need to be a member of the Coogee Community Garden Group WA. Contact the Coogee Community Garden Group WA for more information.
It is envisaged that maintenance will be shared amongst volunteers and members of the Coogee Community Garden WA. However, anyone that visits would be encouraged to do their bit to help ensure the garden remains a neat, tidy and sustainable place for everyone to enjoy.
