The City of Cockburn has received a planning application for 19 Lauderdale Drive, Success. The site is currently vacant, however the child care centre was previously approved by the City. This application seeks minor amendments to the previously approved child care centre, as well as introduces the gym and medical centre.

The proposal involves a mixed-use commercial development comprising a child care centre, café, medical centre and gym, along with parking, access, landscaping and supporting infrastructure.

Landscaping
- Approximately 828m² of landscaped areas across the site
- Tree planting throughout the car park (21 trees – one per four bays)
- Landscaped buffers and soft-scaped play spaces integrated into the design.
Waste Management
- Two shared external bin storage areas, screened by solid masonry walls, servicing all uses.
Operating Hours and Use
- Child care centre: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–6:30pm (up to 85 children)
- Café: Seven days, 6:30am–5:00pm
- Medical centre: Monday–Saturday, 8:00am–6:00pm
- Gym: 24 hours, seven days a week.
About the assessment process
At the end of the advertising period, the City will collate community comments and prepare a Schedule of Submissions. The City will assess the application, considering the submissions and planning framework before making a determination.
