Omeo Park is located at the southern end of the Port Coogee estate and provides access to the Omeo shipwreck. The wreck is Perth's most accessible for snorkelling and is where the Coogee Maritime Trail starts. In early 2020, the City asked the community their views on the park's amenities.

What we heard

Over 700 people visited the project page and nearly 250 people provided input during the first phase of consultation. Most respondents reside in North Coogee and visit Omeo Park regularly. Key findings include:

  • Satisfaction ranked low with access to toilets, changing facilities and seating with shade.

What we did

Council considered the community's feedback and approved works to start on a draft design for a new structure with various amenities including toilets, shade and a potential hard-stand area. The structure will be located in the park's north-west corner. The City engaged an architect who prepared initial drafts for the Design Review Panel to review.

View the designs and have your say
