Background

The City has received concerns from local residents and staff of the Bethanie Illawong Aged Care Home about the safety of residents walking along Rodd Place in Hamilton Hill. At the moment, pedestrians are using the road to access Southwell Crescent, which raises safety concerns for both residents and drivers.

We’re now checking in to see what you think about a potential new footpath along the northern side of Rodd Place.

As a local resident, your feedback is essential. The City manages footpaths and infrastructure across Cockburn to keep our streets safe, clear, and easy to navigate - but we know every neighbourhood is unique. That’s why we want to hear directly from those who live and work in the area.

Tell us what you think about the idea, what concerns you might have, and what you’d like to see happen. Your input will help shape the final decision and ensure Rodd Place is safer and more accessible for everyone.
