Why do I need to register?

    Before you can take part, we ask that you create an account.

    We respect that your privacy is important to you. We have made the account creation process simple and straightforward. The only personal information we collect from you at registration is your email and your suburb, unless you choose to answer some of our optional questions.

    We want to create a dynamic community of regular users and we are continually developing new ways of engaging with our members.

    What information is collected?

    To register, the only compulsory fields you need to answer are:

    • Your email
    • A username that you will use on Comment on Cockburn
    • A password to ensure your account is secure.
    • Your suburb

    By registering, you will join a growing number of residents who will occasionally be emailed by us about new projects in your local area. 

    What happens to my feedback?

    All comments, ideas and suggestions are collated for feedback in reports. These reports assist in Council in the decision making process. This may include decisions on the development of strategies, programs and activities.

    How is this site moderated?

    This site is moderated by Bang the Table Pty Ltd, who are independent to Council.  The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed from the site immediately.  Comments that do not adhere to the moderation rules and terms and conditions will be removed and you will be notified of this by email.

    While the City welcomes your feedback, submissions that contain comments that are derogatory or defamatory are not acceptable.  As a minimum the City will redact any such comments, however, it also reserves the right to discount such submissions.

    How can I provide feedback or suggestions not relevant to the projects being undertaken?
