The City of Cockburn is seeking community feedback on an amendment to the Cell 6 Yangebup/Beeliar Structure Plan.
About this application
The proposed amendment to the Cell 6 Yangebup/Beeliar Structure Plan relates to land located at Lot 56 (No.12) Shallcross Street, Lot 22 Erceg Road and Lot 1 Simper Road, Yangebup.
The amendment seeks to increase the existing density coding on these lots from ‘R20’ to ‘R25’, to support the development of residential housing in accordance with the ‘R-MD-25’ development standards permitted under the City’s Local Planning Policy (LPP) 1.16 – Single House Standards for Medium Density Housing in the Development Zone.
What will happen next?
After the comment period, the City's Technical Officers will make a recommendation for Council to consider. This recommendation takes into account a range of considerations, including planning guidelines and community feedback. Following a Council decision, the application will proceed to the State Government (Western Australian Planning Commission) for final determination on whether it should or should not proceed.
