The City invites you to take a look at our draft capital works budget for the 2024-25 financial year and we encourage you to share your feedback. The draft budget will be presented to Council for adoption at the Special Council Meeting on the 25 June 2024.

About the Draft Capital Works Budget

This financial year, the City has recognised a number of projects and works that are important to community. Funding will contribute to revitalising and renewing roads, buildings, parks, and upgrading our much-needed community facilities.

Among other things, the budget includes:

  • Cockburn ARC Expansion $7.14M (project commenced 2023-24)
  • Rockingham Road Revitalisation $3.42M (finalising designs and commence construction)
  • BMX Facility at Malabar Park, Bibra Lake $3.22M (project commenced 2023-24)
  • Rockingham/Phoenix Roads Intersection Upgrade $2.49M
  • Aboriginal Cultural & Visitors Centre $2.25M (finalise design and commence construction)
  • Leachate pond construction at the Henderson Waste Recovery Park (HWRP) for effective waste management $2.5M
  • Playground renewal and upgrades $2.05M
  • New footpaths and renewals $1.6M
  • Other road projects $8.56m
  • Upgrades to sumps and drains $4.46M
  • Other building renewals and upgrades $5.16M

The draft capital works budget will undergo deliberation by Council at the June Special Council meeting, so it may be subject to change.
