Cockburn to Fremantle bus service

Consultation has concluded

28 September 2018

If a bus service was provided between Fremantle and Woodman Point on Sundays, would you use it?

The City is trying to determine whether there is a genuine need for a service along Cockburn Road in Summer months from 9am to 6pm as an hourly service from October to March.

The bus could stop near the following attractions between Fremantle and Woodman Point and between Woodman Point and Fremantle:

  • Beach
  • Surf Club
  • Caravan Parks
  • Shark barrier swimming area
  • Fremantle bus depot
  • Shops
  • Restaurants

The City is investigating whether the service might be popular on Sundays during the summer months. If the survey results are supportive, the City will lobby the Public Transport Authority (PTA) to provide a service. Passengers would pay to use the bus, like any other PTA bus service.
