Cockburn to Fremantle bus service

A public survey found support for a Sunday bus service on Cockburn Road between Woodman Point and Fremantle, however the PTA has decided not to proceed.

The City conducted a survey in September 2018 to determine whether there is a genuine need for a service along Cockburn Road in Summer months from 9am to 6pm as an hourly service from October to March.

The bus could stop near the following attractions between Fremantle and Woodman Point and between Woodman Point and Fremantle:

  • Beach
  • Surf Club
  • Caravan Parks
  • Shark barrier swimming area
  • Fremantle bus depot
  • Shops
  • Restaurants

The City investigating whether the service might be popular on Sundays during the summer months. When the survey concluded, the City lobbied the Public Transport Authority (PTA) to provide a service.
