The City of Cockburn is submitting a development application for additional parking at Lot 125 Poletti Road, Cockburn Central. Submissions on the proposal are invited from the community. 

About the application

The site is zoned ‘Regional Centre’ under the City of Cockburn Town Planning Scheme No. 3 (TPS 3) and ‘Local Reserve – Public Purpose (Carpark, Roads and Power Line Infrastructure) under the Cockburn Central West Structure Plan.

The proposed car park use is not listed within the City’s TPS 3 Table 1 – Zoning Table, and therefore is considered a Use Not Listed which requires mandatory advertising.

The City of Cockburn is submitting a development application for additional parking at Lot 125 Poletti Road, Cockburn Central. Submissions on the proposal are invited from the community. 

About the application

The site is zoned ‘Regional Centre’ under the City of Cockburn Town Planning Scheme No. 3 (TPS 3) and ‘Local Reserve – Public Purpose (Carpark, Roads and Power Line Infrastructure) under the Cockburn Central West Structure Plan.

The proposed car park use is not listed within the City’s TPS 3 Table 1 – Zoning Table, and therefore is considered a Use Not Listed which requires mandatory advertising.

The proposal seeks to:

  • Develop Lot 125 Poletti Road, Cockburn Central for the purposes of car parking;
  • A total of 199 car parking bays are to be provided for both the general public and the future Bethesda Hospital;
  • Access to site is to be obtained from a future crossover on Honour Way and Stage 3 proposes to connect into the existing car park on the same Lot;
  • The car park is to be provided for the general public and Bethesda Hospital, which was approved by the Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel.
