About this application

The application proposes the following:

  • Providing residence for up to ten persons on the property, who sign on to a sub-lease for a minimum duration of three months;
  • ‘Dwelling 1’, as shown on the development plans, is the main dwelling and contains four bedrooms;
  • ‘Dwelling 2’, as also shown on the development plans is split into two separate buildings. One building comprises two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. The other building comprises four bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms;
  • All access is via the existing driveway to the north-east of the site;
  • All parking will be contained on the site; and
  • A sea container 12m in length for storage purposes only.

    Thank you for your interest in this planning application. This proposal was advertised for public comment between 24 June and 22 July 2021. The City received 21 submissions regarding this proposal.

    Submissions were assessed alongside the relevant planning guidelines and regulations. A copy of the submissions and a recommendation was presented to Council for consideration at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 9 December 2021. Considering the planning guidelines and feedback, this application was refused.
