Background

The City of Cockburn has received a Planning Application for the change of use from Restaurant to Small Bar at Unit 1/134 Parkway Road, Bibra Lake.

The subject site is zoned ‘Local Centre’ under the City of Cockburn Town Planning Scheme No.3. ‘Small Bar’ is designated as an ‘A’ land use which means Planning Approval is required and advertisement to surrounding properties is mandatory.

The application details are as follows:

  • The site proposes to contain a maximum of 70 persons;
  • Proposed hours of operation: 11am to 10pm on Wednesdays to Sundays;
  • There is adequate bin store space to accommodate the proposed Small Bar;
  • Background acoustic live music is proposed. Piano is proposed to be located inside. The applicant has submitted an acoustic report with the application.
