Proposed Off Leash Enclosed Dog Parks in Success and Coogee

The City of Cockburn sought your feedback about building an enclosed dog park.

We Asked:

Do you want an enclosed dog park at Jan Hammond Reserve in Success or Powell Reserve in Coogee?

You Said:

• Out of 69 submissions about Jan Hammond Reserve, 57 supported the proposal and 11 did not.

• Out of 113 submissions about Powell Reserve, Coogee, 33 supported the proposal and 75 did not.

We Did:

The City will build an enclosed dog park at Jan Hammond Reserve and not at Powell Reserve.

This enclosed park will provide an alternative environment to cater for dogs of all sizes and their owners, where dogs can play off lead with owner supervision. This will be similar to the enclosure at Yarra Vista Reserve on corner of Dean Road and Berrigan Drive, Jandakot.
