Draft Community, Sport and Recreation Facilities Plan

Consultation has concluded

More and more people are making their home in the City of Cockburn and we need a 15-year plan to provide community, sport and recreation facilities and reserves.

Read our draft plan, based on extensive community consultation last year and a needs analysis, and see if we are on the right track. Complete our survey below by Friday x March.

Here are our priorities for building and funding some new and upgraded facilities:

  • A new Life Long Learning Centre (performing arts)

  • An upgraded Malabar Park BMX Facility

  • A new Hamilton Hill Community Centre

  • Small Ball Sports Needs and Feasibility Study

  • Western Suburbs Sporting Precinct Study

  • Coolbellup community hub Masterplan

  • Upgraded Aubin Grove Community Facility

  • Upgraded Beeliar Community Centre and Clubroom

  • New Frankland Reserve

  • Munster Sport and Recreation Reserve

The draft plan is based on some guiding principles and standards of provision. It includes a hierarchy for recreational spaces, facilities and catchment areas at a local, neighbourhood, district and regional level.

Thanks for your input so far. We encourage your further comments below or by emailing comment@cockburn.wa.gov.au
