This activity is designed to reflect real-world event planning and resourcing, using simplified points to make it easier to take part.

Each event has a minimum number of points because that represents the minimum resources required to deliver that event at all. If an event receives fewer than the minimum points, it can’t be delivered — which is why lower amounts aren’t available.

When you move the slider:

  • You’re not changing the size or scale of an event
  • You’re telling us how many events of that type you’d like to see delivered

For example:

  • Allocating more points to an event means a preference for more events like this
  • Allocating zero points means you’d prefer that event not be delivered

The total of 1,400 points is intentionally close to what’s required to deliver a mix of events similar to what’s currently offered, with a small amount of flexibility to prioritise some event types over others — while still staying realistic.
