Scheme Amendment

The WAPC considered the Scheme Amendment and the City’s report at their Statutory Planning Committee meeting on 28 March 2023.

As per all Scheme Amendments (for which the WAPC are not the determining authority), the proposal is listed as a Confidential Item, meaning that only the key matters for consideration are published.

The Committee endorsed a recommendation to the Minister for Planning regarding the Scheme Amendment.

The Minister for Planning considered the Scheme Amendment and granted approval on 1 June 2023. The approved amendment was published in the Government Gazette on 16 June 2023.

Structure Plan

Following the Minister’s approval of the Scheme Amendment, the WAPC considered the Structure Plan at their Statutory Planning Committee meeting on 13 June 2023.

The WAPC advised the City that the Structure Plan requires modification, and resubmission.

The City will provide further updates on the Structure Plan as they become available.
