Project Update – November 2022

The City advertised the Scheme Amendment and Structure Plan for public comment between 26 May and 25 July 2022.

The City received 307 submissions during the advertising period, which City Officers assessed under the relevant planning framework.

The City prepared a report, including the submissions and a recommendation, for Council’s consideration at the 10 November 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting.

Council decided to recommend the WA Planning Commission (WAPC) refuse the proposed Scheme Amendment and Glen Iris Estate Structure Plan. Both applications require assessment by the WAPC. The Scheme Amendment requires the Minister for Planning’s review and approval. To view the minutes, visit the City of Cockburn website.
