1. Why are we doing this?

    It's called participatory budgeting where the community comes up with project ideas, the community votes online for the best projects, and the community implements the winning projects using City funds - giving you a say in how and where some of your rates funds are spent.

    2. How did these projects become finalists?

    The City called for nominations and received 15 applications. The review panel assessed all the projects and selected 11 finalists which fit the guidelines for funding. It's now your chance to decide which projects get funded.

    3. Where is the money coming from?

    The City of Cockburn allocates two percent of its total revenue for grants and donations -- that's about $1.3 million going back into the community through a variety of grants and donation programs.
