Background

The City of Cockburn is seeking your feedback on our proposed Public Places Local Law 2026, which sets out rules around what behaviour and activities are permitted or restricted in or on City owned or managed parks, reserves, land and buildings, as well as verges, to ensure the safety and amenity of the community, as well as the protection of public assets.

Examples of activities regulated by the local law include alfresco dining, abandoned shopping trolleys, advertising signs, and trading. The local law also provides rules for what you can and can’t do on your verge.
