The City is proposing a new local planning policy to allow quicker delivery of amenities and infrastructure at local parks and reserves.

This policy identifies a set of criteria that exempts certain works at local reserves or parks from needing to undergo the development application process.

Currently, every development at a local park or reserve, regardless of the size and nature, must apply for a development application. This can create unnecessary delays.

This policy aims to deliver community amenities and infrastructure quicker by removing the development application requirement for policy-compliant works.
