Thank you for your feedback. Comments are closed. View the needs feed below for more information on the progress of this engagement.

Background

Thanks to a Port Coogee Community Association (PCCA) initiative, $150,000 is allocated in the 2020-21 budget to upgrade the play equipment in Lucretia Park, North Coogee.

Representatives from the PCCA helped to establish a local playground group. PCCA representatives and the group contributed ideas and helped to develop a draft design for a playground.

As part of the design development, representatives worked through project challenges. Examples include the limited usable space (because of the irrigation storage tank below most of the grassed area of the site), the budget (which needs to cover all aspects of the project), integration with existing landscaping, accessibility needs and costs of ongoing maintenance. Read the FAQ for more information on design choices.

Local residents are invited to share their feedback on the draft concept design. After the feedback period, we will finalise the design with a vision to complete the playground this financial year.

Thanks to the support of the Port Coogee Community Association, the City of Cockburn has budgeted $150,000 for playground upgrades in Lucretia Park. The City has been working with community representatives to develop a draft design for the playground.  As a nearby resident, we would like your feedback.
