Tucked just south of the sunny, family-friendly shores of Ngarkal Beach is Ngarkal Beach Water Park, also known as Port Coogee Water Play.

Since opening in 2016, this playful pad has been delighting children every year from September to April, before taking a well-earned break for maintenance during the cooler months.

The park currently uses a recycled water system to irrigate its inground waterspouts. This system has now reached the end of its life and the City will replace it with a safer and more economical above-ground water spraying system.

The new sprayers will be activated by push button timers, similar to the water sculptures at the Bibra Lake Adventure Playground.

Now it’s your turn to have a say! We’re inviting local residents, beachgoers, and water play users to help choose the new water spray sculptures. Cast your vote and help guide the final design of these playful new features.
