Consultation has concluded

Following discussions with members of the North Coogee community in the South Beach area, residents and the City have trialed an alternative to the usual verge waste collection service.

On 30 July and 6 August 2016, between the times of 9am to 1pm, residents wanting their junk waste collected were asked to bring it to the designated collection point - the bend of Shoalwater Street. This service replaced the usual arrangement of trucks collecting waste from verges on every street.

The aim was to improve neighbourhood amenity during verge collection times.

We asked for your feedback on the trial by completing an online or hardcopy survey. Over 100 people gave their feedback on the trial.
