Why a Parking Strategy?
The City wishes to develop a citywide parking strategy to help:
- Reduce development costs and increased affordability
- Allow more compact community planning
- Encourage other modes of transport and reduce car use thereby reducing congestion, accidents and pollution
- Improve options and quality of service, especially for people who can not drive
- Improve the design flexibility for parking
- Maximise the use of land for angle parking and new parking stations
- Consider paid parking in future years to help pay for new parking facilities and maintenance of existing parking areas
- Guidelines to shape the future provision of parking over the next decade
We Asked:

You Said:
You have provided valuation information which is now being collated and analysed, so that we can develop a citywide parking strategy.
