    Henderson is primarily an industrial and employment area, with very few residents but a growing workforce connected to marine, defence and industrial industries. Future planning will focus on improving outdoor spaces and amenities for workers and visitors, while protecting important environmental areas and supporting access to nearby nature reserves and walking trails.

    Henderson includes a range of natural areas and regional recreation connections, including:

    • Redemptora Reserve and nearby walk trails
    • access to Mt Brown and Henderson Cliffs trails
    • nearby regional bushland and wetland areas
    • outdoor spaces connected to the AMC Technology Park
    • coastal and nature-based recreation opportunities
    • areas with potential for worker rest spaces and improved amenities

    Most parks and reserves in Henderson are nature-focused spaces.
