Background

On 6 March 2018, the City received a petition signed by residents in eight of the 12 properties that share Peace Lane, Atwell, requesting street bin presentation pads be constructed to ensure that the waste trucks do not service bins in the laneway.

The petition asked the City to “install bin pads on the verge on the corner of Peace Lane and Hygeia Bend, providing an easy and safer place for residents to put their bins for garbage collection”.
