Background

The City of Cockburn has received a development application for Temporary Food Trucks at Omeo Park at 21 Socrates Parade, North Coogee. Details of the proposal are as follows:

  • Series of Food Truck Festivities in Omeo Park for a temporary timeframe. Dates of the proposed events:
    • 11 and 25 January 2019
    • 8 and 22 February 2019
    • 8 and 22 March 2019
    • 12 and 26 April 2019
    • 10 and 24 May 2019
  • Each event comprises of 12 food trucks operating in the park between 5:30pm and 8:30pm on Fridays with crowd estimates between 150 and 300 people at any time.
  • Traffic Impact Assessment prepared by an Traffic Consultant submitted with the application.
  • Car parking proposed in the 154 formal off-street car parking bays within 200m walking distance of Omeo Park.
