Background

The City of Cockburn has received a planning application for a High Care Nursing Home at 9004L and 805L Merevale Gardens Beeliar and you are invited to make a submission. The proposal has the following characteristics:

  • Located on land zoned ‘Local Centre’;
  • A 4561sqm double-storey building comprising 144 beds across both floors;
  • Indoor and outdoor seating areas, children's play area and cafe for visitors;
  • Covered drop-off area at the front of the building and service/loading area at the rear;
  • 48 car parking bays for visitors and staff;
  • Three vehicle entry and exist points along Merevale Gardens; and
  • Landscaping.

The application is accompanied with a Transport Impact Assessment and an Environmental Noise [Acoustic] Assessment.
