Consultation has concluded

Background

This land has historically been used for sand quarrying and brick processing and it is now proposed to create a new residential estate on the 48 ha portion which is zoned for urban development. This is proposed to include:

  • 600-700 residential dwellings;
  • A primary school;
  • 4.5 ha of public open space including a district playing field;
  • A local centre.

The remnant vegetation on the remaining portion of the land (approximately 12.3 ha) will be part of Bush Forever Area Site 390 and is not proposed for urban development.
