Proposed Structure Plan Amendment – Lots 217-221 and Lot 234 Surada Street, North Coogee

24 April 2019

The City is seeking community feedback on a proposed Structure Plan amendment for Lots 217-221 and Lot 234 Surada Street, North Coogee (Cockburn Coast).

The amendment proposes recoding of the subject lots from ‘Residential – Medium Density R40’ to ‘Residential – Medium Density R60’.

The proposed amendment would potentially allow for a greater number of dwellings on the subject lots (for grouped dwellings or single dwellings), but would not change maximum building heights (2-3 storeys).

STRUCTURE PLAN AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION

Plans and documents explaining the Structure Plan are available to view here or at the City of Cockburn Administration Building, 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood during office hours (Monday to Fridays, 8.30am – 4.30pm) up to and including 24 April 2019.

Submissions can be lodged online below, by email to stratplanning@cockburn.wa.gov.au or in writing to the CEO on or before 4pm 24 April 2019.

Please note: The structure plan amendment is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal. The advertising of the structure plan does not indicate any formal support of the proposal by the City of Cockburn or the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Please be aware that should you make a submission, Council requires a Schedule of Submissions to be prepared which includes a submitter’s name and address. This forms part of a Council Agenda report, which is available for public viewing (published in hard copy and on the City’s website).
