Consultation has concluded

Background

The City is seeking community feedback on a proposed Structure Plan amendment for Lots 217-221 and Lot 234 Surada Street, North Coogee (Cockburn Coast).

The amendment proposes recoding of the subject lots from ‘Residential – Medium Density R40’ to ‘Residential – Medium Density R60’.

The proposed amendment would potentially allow for a greater number of dwellings on the subject lots (for grouped dwellings or single dwellings), but would not change maximum building heights (3-4 storeys).

Plans and documents explaining the Structure Plan are available to view here or at the City of Cockburn Administration Building, 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood during office hours (Monday to Fridays, 8.30am – 4.30pm) up to and including 24 April 2019.

Submissions

Submissions can be lodged online below, by email to [email protected] or in writing to the CEO on or before 4pm on 24 April 2019.

Submissions should include the Structure Plan name, the property affected and details of the submission. They can be addressed to: Chief Executive Officer, City of Cockburn, PO Box 1215, Bibra Lake WA 6965.

Please note: The structure plan amendment is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal. The advertising of the structure plan does not indicate any formal support of the proposal by the City of Cockburn or the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Please be aware that should you make a submission, Council requires a Schedule of Submissions to be prepared which includes a submitter’s name and address. This forms part of a Council Agenda report, which is available for public viewing (published in hard copy and on the City’s website). Please clearly state in your submission if you want your details to be kept confidential.
