The City of Cockburn has received a Development Application for the Retrospective Change of Use from Consulting Room to 'Use not Listed' (Remedial Massage) at Unit 2, 235 Rockingham Road, Spearwood.

About this application

This application seek to increase the number of massage rooms at the existing premises. 

The subject site is zoned Mixed Use R60 under the City of Cockburn Town Planning Scheme No.3 (TPS 3). The land use, Remedial Massage, is classified as a ‘Use Not Listed’ under TPS 3. The subject site is located within an existing commercial strata complex comprising of Office, Consulting Rooms and Health Studio uses. 

The total number of car parking bays provided on site is 39 bays.

The subject site is currently approved as Consulting Rooms (Remedial Massage) with conditions limiting the site to operate with:

  • Two (2) consulting rooms;
  • One (1) practitioner working at a time; and
  • Two (2) additional staff not classified as practitioners at the premises at any one time.

The details of this application are to modify the previous approval to the following:

  • Four (4) consulting rooms;
  • Two (2) practitioners working at any one time; and
  • One (1) additional staff member not classified as a practitioner at the premises at any one time.
