Have your say – Local Profile Papers for new Local Planning Strategy and Scheme-(copy)

Consultation has concluded

The City of Cockburn has begun the background work for the preparation of a new local planning strategy and local planning scheme.

We are now engaging with the community to capture the important key planning issues through a set of ‘local profile papers’ which cover 13 key topics.

The local profile papers are a key element of the local planning strategy and will ultimately form part of the local planning strategy text, with further sections within the document which analyse those issues.

In addition to providing background information and setting the scene, the local profile should highlight the planning implications of the information, and help identify appropriate planning responses.

Your input is sought to ensure that these local profiles capture the key issues - this provides the opportunity for the community to help shape the future of the City of Cockburn as early as possible in the process.

In particular the City would like you to answer two key questions:

  1. Does the information capture the key issues related to (the local profile topic)?

  2. Are there further suggestions for inclusion?

Comments can be made on the local profile papers up until the XX February 2018. They can be lodged online below by selecting the local profile paper(s) you wish to comment on.

You can also provide your comments by email to stratplanning@cockburn.wa.gov.au or in writing. Submissions should include the title of the local profile paper you are commenting on, and they can be addressed to:

Chief Executive Officer

City of Cockburn

PO Box 1215, Bibra Lake WA 6965

Please be aware that should you make a submission a Schedule of Submissions will be prepared which includes a submitter’s name and address. This may form part of a Council Agenda report, which is available for public viewing (published in hard copy and on the City’s website). Please clearly state in your submission if you want your details to be kept confidential.
