Innovative RAP endorsed by Council and formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia

The City’s fourth Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was endorsed by Cockburn Council at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 14 December and has subsequently been formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.

City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said the Innovate RAP would allow flexibility to consolidate foundation work in the areas of employment, cultural learning and community engagement, while ‘stretching’ the City’s work on anti-discrimination and procurement.

A special thanks to the City's Aboriginal Reference Group for their guidance, Kathleen Sherie for the beautiful cover art, as well as the broader City of Cockburn community who shared their thoughts and supported us to develop this important plan. The City is excited to continue on our journey towards reconciliation, as we look towards opportunities to learn and grow together.
