Rates: Objects & Reasons 2020-21

In accordance with Section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995 and the Council’s intention to continue levying differential rates for the 2020-21 Financial Year, the City is required to publish its Objects and Reasons for implementing the differential rates categories.

These amounts aim to ensure a zero average increase in rates over those in FY 2019–20 for all rateable categories.

Submissions

Submissions made by an elector or a ratepayer in respect of the proposed rates, and any related matter, must be received by 4:00pm on Tuesday 30 June 2020. All submissions are required to be made in writing to the Chief Executive Officer.
