Rigby Avenue traffic changes

Consultation has concluded

March 2018

We think we have reached agreement for traffic calming on Rigby Avenue that can reduce vehicle speeds, improve safety and not impact on your verge. See the map.

A small meeting of residents was held on Wednesday 28 February with the City and agreed to support a proposal for traffic islands at each of the three cul-de-sac intersections along Rigby Avenue.

This should result in a reduction of traffic speeds along the entire length of Rigby Avenue, with vehicle speeds limited to 20km/hr to 40km/hr at the slow points.

Subject to more widespread approval, the City will proceed with design and installation of the traffic calming, prior to the end of this financial year.

Please indicate your support or otherwise by close of business Friday 16 March.

Provide your feedback by:

On behalf of residents, the City engaged an independent engineer Alen Perkov to review the possible traffic calming options. See his presentation. See his full report.

We await your feedback and will report to a future meeting of Council in 2018.
