Planning is now complete

The City has completed planning for new CCTV locations in Coolbellup. Key findings from community and stakeholder consultation helped to inform the chosen locations alongside budget, policy, and installation and maintenance constraints.

The project scope accommodates the installation of roughly 24 new cameras throughout Coolbellup by late-2023, including key areas near:

• Winterfold Road (nine)
• Coolbellup Avenue (six)
• North Lake Road (two)
• Forrest Road (two)
• Stock Road (three)
• Malvolio Road (two)

The new cameras will help to support security management and community safety by monitoring activity in the vicinity of suburb entry and exit points, major shopping precincts, and pedestrian accessways.

Next steps The City is engaging a supplier to install the CCTV infrastructure. Works will commence once the tender process is complete. The City expects to finish installing the cameras by late-2023.
