Thank you to everyone who shared their views about Sain Road pedestrian amenities. Your input is appreciated.

We heard from 36 local property owners, residents and pedestrians during the comment period between 12 March and 9 April 2021.

The following themes emerged in the majority of responses:

• Satisfaction with Sain Road pedestrian amenities ranks low.
• Safety is a top priority.
• The provision of a footpath will positively impact residents and pedestrians.
• The eastern side of Sain Road is the most appropriate location for a footpath because it is safer.

Next steps

Considering community feedback, the City is investigating the viability of a footpath connection along Sain Road, between Coogee Plaza and King Street.

The City must assess a range of site constraints such as road gradients, drainage and verge space. Project outcomes will be detailed on this page when available.
