Submission period is now CLOSED

The City of Cockburn is advertising Scheme Amendment No. 146 to the Town Planning Scheme No. 3, which will undertake the following:

  1. Rezoning a portion of Lot 705 (No. 255) and Lot 707 Armadale Road, Treeby ‘Development’ and designating the site a ‘Development Area’ (special control area).

  2. Including provisions within ‘Table 9: Development Areas’ relating to the subject area to orderly guide future planning stages.

  3. Amending the Scheme map accordingly.

The scheme amendment will bring into conformity a recent change to the State level Metropolitan Region Scheme, which designated the subject land 'Urban'. This process is therefore largely administrative.

The amendment will facilitate the ability for the landowner to lodge a future structure plan proposal for the subject land. The structure plan will designate road design, residential development and public open space. The structure plan has not been lodged with the City as yet, but will be advertised in future to allow the public to view more detailed planning for the site.

If you would like to make a submission on the Scheme Amendment, you can do so in a couple of ways. You can fill in the survey below. Or, you can write to us;

Chief Executive Officer,

City of Cockburn,

PO Box 1215, Bibra Lake WA 6965.

Please note: The Scheme Amendment is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal. The advertising of the Scheme Amendment does not indicate any formal support of the proposal by the City of Cockburn or the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Please be aware that should you make a submission, Council requires a Schedule of Submissions to be prepared which includes a submitter’s name and address. This forms part of a Council Agenda report, which is available for public viewing (published in hard copy and on the City’s website). Please clearly state in your submission if you want your details to be kept confidential.
