Scheme Amendment No. 141 - Introducing a New Development Contribution Plan and Area 15 (Treeby/Jandakot)

Consultation has concluded and Amendment 141 has been approved.


Background

The City invites submissions seeking feedback regarding a scheme amendment proposal for the purpose of introducing a new Development Contribution Plan and Area 15 (Treeby/Jandakot).

Council, at its meeting held on 11 April 2019, initiated the above scheme amendment. It was then advertised for public comment for a period ending on 2 September 2019, with a requirement that affected/nearby owners be notified of the proposal.

The proposal involves amending Town Planning Scheme No.3 by introducing a new Development Contribution Plan and Area 15 (Treeby/Jandakot) which will propose that developers contribute to a new playing field and club room to be located in Treeby. The plan will only apply to the creation of new residential lots and/or additional dwellings within the localities of Treeby and Jandakot.

It does not apply where a landowner has bought a new residential lot from a developer to construct a new dwelling (as the developer will have already paid the contribution).
