Project Update: February 2026

16 February 2026

Following a decision at the June Ordinary Council Meeting (OCM), City Officers were requested to further review the Tempest proposal. While the proposal presented to Council included a facility with two changing rooms, Council resolved to explore an enhanced option incorporating four changing rooms.

Since the OCM, the City is working with both a landscape architect and a building architect to carefully consider how a four–changing room facility could be thoughtfully integrated within the reserve. This collaborative design work is currently underway, and we anticipate receiving draft concept plans in the coming weeks.

Once the concept plans are available, we look forward to engaging with the sporting clubs based at the reserve, as well as the broader community who value and enjoy this space. This will provide an opportunity to share the proposed designs and gather feedback to ensure the facility supports the needs of user groups and the wider community, both now and into the future.
