Treeby Community Centre

29 March 2019

We have some big projects happening in Calleya, Treeby and want your input now by completing a survey about the design of the proposed Community and Sports Centre.

COMMUNITY AND SPORTS CENTRE

Based in the town centre on the corner of Torwood Avenue and Clementine Boulevard, the community centre will service the forecast 7,750 plus residents living in Treeby and 3,212 residents in Jandakot.

It will support the development of a vibrant community hub, while providing a flexible and functional community space that offers a variety of different purposes for the community.

The City will work with Stockland, residents groups and the community to design the centre.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR NEW RESERVE

The City is seeking Expressions of Interest by 29 March 2019 from new or existing clubs to be located at the reserve. The reserve is currently being constructed by the developer Stockland, with turf being laid. It will be ready for community use in early 2019 and for sporting club use from potentially mid-2019 once the grass has been established.

The timing for Expressions of Interest allows sporting clubs to undertake due diligence and governance, should they need to re-locate. Interested parties should contact the City on 9411 3444 or email recreation@cockburn.wa.gov.au. See the EOI documents here.

We look forward to working with you on these projects. Remember to do the survey by 29 March 2019!
