Upgrades to Botany Park

Consultation has concluded

We asked:

The City of Cockburn recently upgraded the playground at Botany Park in Hammond Park to provide a more inclusive and accessible play space for parents and children with disability, and now wants your comment on the changes.

The upgrades include:

  • Fencing – for safety and peace of mind

  • Birds nest swing – doesn’t require balance like conventional swings

  • Accessible latch – allows the gate to be opened at a lower height with a key

The work was funded by the Disability Services Commission and administered by WALGA.

You said:

Participants provided valuable input about the playground and about favourite items to include in other parks.

We did:

The City replied to the funding agency about the impact of the upgrade, and provided a copy of the feedback received to Council's Parks branch for follow-up.
