Background

The City of Cockburn is developing a new Youth Plan in partnership with the Youth Affairs Council of WA (YACWA) and we need your insights to help us develop it.

What's a Youth Plan?

A Youth Plan is a guiding document, that helps us plan for the next five years, on how we can best support and empower young people in the City. It aims to understand what's important to young people and identify what we need to do to make the communities where they live, work and play, the best places possible.

To help inform the plan, and to ensure it serves the people it is intended for, YACWA will be engaging with various stakeholders throughout the City, including:

  • Young people aged 10 to 25 who live, work, study, volunteer or visit/use groups and services
  • Parents and caregivers of young people
  • Groups, organisations and businesses that work with or have a connection to young people.

Have Your Say

Co-designed with the City's Youth Advisory Collective, YACWA is hosting a range of online, print and in-person opportunities to get involved and share your ideas when it comes to planning for, supporting and empowering our young people within the City. Whether you are a young person, parent, guardian, teacher, support worker or anyone else interested - we want to hear from you.

Share your ideas by completing this quick survey either online or on paper by Sunday 5 May 2024.

One-on-one interviews either by phone or video (20-30 minutes). These are designed for individuals, groups, organisations or businesses that connect with young people.
