The City of Cockburn has received a Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) application for a Child Care Premises at 144, 146 and 148 Parkway Road, Bibra Lake. Submissions on the proposal are invited from the community.
The sites are zoned ‘Residential’ under the City of Cockburn Town Planning Scheme No. 3 TPS 3 (TPS 3). A 'Child Care Premises' has the permissibility of an 'A' land use under the Scheme- which means the use is not permitted unless the local government has exercised its discretion to approve the application after advertising the proposal.

The proposal has the following characteristics:
A single storey architecturally designed centre;
Comprehensive landscaping across the site and verge with internal and external play spaces;
Access proposed via Parkway Road;
23 secure parking bays provided with shade tree planting; and
A variety of services available for children aged from 0-36+ months, pre-kindy and kindy aged children.
