Background

We are responding to a resident’s concern about traffic speed on Hamilton Road and kindly invite you to provide feedback to the City on this matter.

As a local resident, you can provide the City with insight on how traffic impacts the neighbourhood.

Hamilton Road is classified as a district distributor road, with a posted speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour. The most recent traffic count in July 2018 near the intersection with Derinton Way showed that about 7,800 vehicles are using Hamilton Road on an average weekday with an average speed of 58 kilometres per hour.

We welcome your comments by 9am on Monday 8 October 2018 if you have any concerns about traffic volume or speed, and whether the City should investigate traffic calming such as traffic islands in any section of Hamilton Road.
